Lee Valley Olympic Tour
Follow-up tour to Olympic sites in the Lower Lee valley, Stratford:

Trip included the Excel Exhibition Centre, a drive through the Lower Lee Valley, viewing of the Olympic Park and Stadium, progress on the Velodrome, Aquatic Centre and the Olympic Village. Waltham Abbey for lunch. Drive past the site for the 2012 canoe and kayak events and ninety-minute boat trip through the Lee Valley Park.

An outing to the very moving National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas in Staffordshire combined with a guided tour of the compact but beautiful Cathedral City of Lichfield.

Lacock Village and Fox Talbot Photography Museum

Visit to the Wiltshire village of Lacock much used by TV companies in films such as Cranford. The whole area is administered by the National Trust and there is also a large Abbey converted into a house (open to NT members) and the Fox Talbot Museum featuring the work of William Henry Fox Talbot, one of the first photographers in the country.

Wakehurst Gardens, West Sussex
Wakehurst Place in West Sussex is a country estate funded and managed by The Royal Botanic Garden, Kew.

The outing will include wonderful woodland walks, formal and informal gardens and a visit to the exhibition at the Millennium Seedbank. National Trust, Oxford Friends of the Botanic Garden and Friends of Kew membership cards can be used for free entry.
