Thames Valley U3A Network
Thameside (Wallingford) U3A is an active member of the Thames Valley U3A Network.The
objectives of the Network are:
· To advance the education of members of U3As in the Network
· To encourage leisure activities by facilitating cooperation between U3As in the
Network.
The Thames Valley Network organises various meetings and Study days that may be of
interest to Members.
Forthcoming TVN Events
- Friday 9th March 2012: A Study Day entitled English Social History at Adams Park
Conference Centre, High Wycombe.
- In 2012, the Network Conference will be in Abingdon, Saturday 16th June 2012 at Abingdon
College, Wootton Road, Abingdon, under the title "Interactive U3A". There will be
a keynote speaker and discussion groups in the morning with a chance to ask questions
and air views, in the afternoon.

The role of the Thames Valley Network is to:
- Organise and run conferences, lectures, seminars, courses;
- Publish books, pamphlets, reports, leaflets, journals, instructional matter and to
produce films and videos;
- Participate in and assist in the development of neighbourhood and networked groupings
of U3As.
A major on-going Thames Valley Network activity is the Riverside Project
